箱館通宝 母銭
安政3年（1856年）11月に蝦夷地内に限り通用するという条件で江戸幕府の箱館奉行が発行した地方貨幣です。表面には箱館通寳、裏面には安政を意味する「安」の文字が見られます。流通銭(子銭)と比べ、母銭は原型として丁寧に仕上げられており、文字の彫りが深いのが特徴です。
